OUR STORY

Behind Seas and Trees are two firefighter families. 

​

Sean Kittle and Frank Sarcone met in the FDNY's probationary firefighting school. After being assigned to the same firehouse in Brooklyn, they discovered their mutual love for woodworking and design. Frank had a background as a professional contractor, and Sean brought his extensive carpentry skills and training as a professional designer.

Sean, his wife, Brenda, and their two children split their time between Broad Channel and a home in the Catskill Mountains. 

​

Frank, his wife Kate, and their three kids are based out of the Hudson Valley. 

​

Our shared appreciation for home, integrity, and legacy are what makes our partnership so successful.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, Frank is the tree. (Though Sean is taller, he also likes surfing.)
